Valencia officially leaves West Ham

valenciaThis morning West Ham finally confirmed that Enner Valencia has joined Mexican Liga MX club Tigres UANL for an undisclosed fee believed to be between £6m and £7m.

The 27-year-old departs east London after three seasons, during which he scored ten goals in 66 appearances. Valencia joined the Hammers for £12m after a prolific 2014 season in Mexican football with Pachuca and a fine showing at that summer’s FIFA World Cup finals with Ecuador.

The South American spent last season on loan at Everton, for whom he netted three goals in 30 appearances.

West Ham say on WHUFC.com “They would like to thank Enner for his efforts and wish him all the best for his future career.”

  1. Good luck Enner, shame it didn’t work out he always had a good attitude despite being treated pretty poorly imho.

  2. Just wasn’t PL standard, unfortunately another South American who didn’t make it in europe. Good luck & all that but he wont be missed

  3. A lightweight who wont be missed. We only signed him on the back of the World Cup and got mugged off.
