Video: Matchday Vlog

Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination, we weren’t outclassed or humiliated but neither did we give Chelsea much cause for concern.

As usual I took my camera to the London Stadium for the rearranged fixture against our London rivals but left wishing that Sky had not moved the game. I’m not sure that I ever really thought we’d win against such a well drilled team but it’s a long trek home on a school night when you’ve had little to cheer.

We started brightly enough but as you will see from the video I left the game irritated by the same issues that have plagued us all season . . . . . . ..  .. .  No striker or right back. I’m not saying that either would have won us the game but it is a weakness that the opposition can always exploit.

I knew we’d miss Antonio too but I was not sure quite how much. The man is an athlete and that is what is always needed on the vast expanse of turf in the middle of the former Olympic Stadium and that much was particularly evident last night.

Anyway, onward and upwards to Bournemouth and despite last night I find myself strangely optimistic.
