Video exclusive: at last, Carroll is back in business!

Andy Carroll is back… and on the goals trail.

It may only have been a training session, but the big fella has sent a timely video reminder to other Premier League outfits of his capabilities as he prepares for a long-awaited comeback comeback from injury.

The club’s record signing is expected to make his return on ton 14 September oagainst Newcastle. And judging by his form in training, he’s clearly coming right back to his best.

David Gold told ClaretandHugh: “Andy’s looking very good and this time we are looking to keeping him totally free of injury. The guy has shown tremendous courage and deserves a change of luck. We know all about his ankle, which has been completely rebuilt.

“The latest injury, from which is now clearly recovering well, was just terrible luck. We are all wishing him the absolute best.”

In a tweet on his video, AC declared:: “One man is gutted to see me back!! @AdriSanMiguel how’s your back after picking all them out the back of the net?”

  1. Totally lost any enthusiasm for the latest in the ‘Andy Carroll is back soon’ episodes, lol 😉

  2. Is this Andy Carroll-The Comeback 5 or 6.So many i have forgotten.Probably going straight to DVD like Rise of the Krays 😉

  3. I’ve heard that coz we are playing on the ground now, he wont have to jump up so much and put wear and tear on his joints when he lands. That means he could last a whole season. lol

  4. I cant get excited about his returns, its like sitting there in anticipation of a train crash you know is about to happen again. If he lasts more than 5 games its a bonus for me 😉

  5. Now he has got to try and get in the team,
Sakho will have to have a dip in form or pick up a injury,

  6. I look forward to this. May be naive, but I think this man will justify his price tag and salary before he leaves this club.

    You have my support Andy!!

  7. 30 goals a season for the next three or four years should just about justify his salary so far 😉

  8. It will be Great to see Carroll back … Please don’t forget how much we missed him last season . It should be obvious to any fan that he was sorely missed . The injury saga has lingered on , of course it has .. But , I’ll bet it bothered him more than any fan ..
A fit Andy Carroll is a nightmare for defences and everyone knows it . All he has to do is get up to match fitness .. We need a big strong squad if we are to achieve anything beyond mid table ,, and Carroll returning will be perfect .. It all depends on how Bilic will deploy his new players , and where Carroll will fit in .
