Martin Samuelsen scored his first full international goal for Norway last night and drew praise for his performance from far and wide.

The teenager was hailed as the next great West Ham thing when he arrived at the club from Manchester City’s youth academy but has had little chance to make his presence felt on the first team.

However, he wasn’t slow to give Slaven Blic a nudge despite him in last night’s game. In the video above he shows his eye for goal with the sharply taken third over San Matino in the 4-1 win.

Norway fans praised Samuelsen for his creativity, suggesting that he changed the game when he came on as a substitute, and that his performance was the only good thing to come out of the game.

Meanwhile, ssome West Ham supporters are excited about Samuelsen’s future at the club, with some suggesting hat he could be part of the answer to the club’s current problems, claiming that he’s already better than loanee Gokhan Tore.

However, David Gold – tweeted in respnse to a follower – “Martin Samuelsen time will come. The manager will decide when that time is right. dg”
