We’re ready for the off – are you?

The season is less than a month away and the excitement is building over here just as it is everywhere else as the big day approaches.

And we have made  one or two appointments to the CandH team to ensure that we are bang on the ball as we start the build-up to Liverpool at Anfield and all that lies beyond under Manuel Pellegrini.

We will continue to bring you the best Hammers coverage around combined with the most forthright opinions:

Here’s our team for the season ahead – stay in touch with all things Irons via your Hammers ‘daily paper’ CandH 24/7 every day:

Hugh

Hugh Southon: Founded the site back in 2014 and although he’s getting on a bit is still chasing the exclusives and setting the agenda with his associate editor Sean Whetstone.

Sean has been in front with all the Stadium and financial stories since he joined CandH from West Ham til I Die back in 2015. A newshound of the highest order and probably the sanest bloke on the team.

Mike Manera – of Mike on Monday fame who also becomes CandH’s formation, tactics and system analyst

Allen Cummings – lifelong Hammer – never misses a game blogs his provocative and nostalgic views

Gonzo is the man behind the camera with the best WHUFC videos out there

ExWHUemployee – Top ITK  Ex jumps on board – great to see you Ex …we’ve known each other a long time

Niall McDonald – CandH ratings man who always creates a stir!

Danny Leach – our PlayerWatch man who watches every move of the week’s chosen Hammer

For regular great debates on all things Hammers come and join the CandH Facebook forum where the only rules are NO SWEARING OR ABUSE administered by our foxy lady Carol Combes.

  1. Yes. Are we going to have a Fantasy League, please? 🙂

    • Great to see you back posting MerryMike 🙂 great suggestion, even though to be honest I pick the team at the start of the season then cba to maintain it.

  2. Will you still be getting regular contributions from former players like Leroy and Parkesy amongst others?
I also hope that we as the greatest fans of the greatest club can rein in the excessive, OTT and (very sadly) too often vile over reaction to the slightest misfortune that happens to our team. If people want perfection maybe West Ham isn’t the club for them.
    COYI!

    • love the second half of your post greedy but you know it is going to hapen
and it will all be the boards fault sully picks the team and the tight little s—
has only spent £100 mill on players everybody knows thats not nearly enought

  3. Great line-up for the new season. Claret & Hugh is my first port of call for anything West Ham United related. Keep up the good work. Its much appreciated.
Looking forward to an exciting season, and getting behind the team.
Looking great at the moment but it wouldn’t be West Ham if there weren’t some disasters along the way. Don’t let those jealous ******** (The Media, Jason Cundy and alike) fool you. We have a great club, with great traditions that is evolving into something bigger.

  4. Hi Hugh, a great looking team glad to see Ex back on board his insights and joint radio show are always worth hearing COYI !!!

  5. Let me echo some of the comments above – C&H is my first port of call – and usually I find that I can get all that I need from here. Let us hope for a good season both on the field and on the site (I hope that I can still get the news and reports and ratings without having to go onto Facebook)

I still miss the match reports by Vinny on Westhamonline – a victim of BFS style football. Anyone know if he writes anywhere these days?

  6. Thanks Hugh – glad that I can still get the excellent coverage without Facebook
