West Ham pull plug on loan deal with option to buy

seadhakWest Ham has pulled the plug on a deal for Sead Haksabanovic to join Palermo at the eleventh-hour claim the Italian media. The Italian club claims everything was agreed before West Ham suddenly changed their minds. Reports suggest the loan deal was worth 200,000 Euros with an option to buy in the summer.

The Montenegro attacking midfielder was signed last August on a five-year contract for a transfer fee which can rise to £3m from Swedish club Halmstads BK, where he became the second-youngest player in Allsvenskan league history in April 2015. The 18-year-old midfielder has played just 71 minutes of first-team football this season.

Palermo CEO told Italian media “We had a meeting with the English club yesterday, who said they decided not to allow Haksabanovic to leave as they have been unable to find an alternative, the two companies were ready to exchange documents”

  1. He hasn’t seriously come close to PL level so unless Moyes has said he needs him hard to guess why we wouldn’t have taken the money….
