West Ham target lands PSG job

|

West Ham manager target Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as the new manager of PSG this afternoon it has been announced.

Tuchel, who has been out of work since leaving Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in May 2017, has signed a two-year contract with the French club. The 44-year-old spent two years in charge at Dortmund after succeeding Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in 2015.

Tuchel was thought to be on A Hammers shortlist of possible manager replacements for David Moyes. Tuchel replaces Unai Emery, who led PSG to the domestic treble in France this season but did not have his two-year contract extended.

Emery is also thought to be on West Ham’s shortlist of manager candidates despite his limited grasp of the English language. He has also be strongly linked with Arsenal as a possible replacement for Arsene Wenger. West Ham are expected to make an announcement in ten days time as to who will manage the club next season.
