Where’s Maiga?

Pictures posted on social media claim to be Hammers striker Maiga arriving at Riyah Airport in Saudi Arabia although this can’t be confirmed yet by Claret and Hugh. If true, it is the biggest indiction so far that the Hammers have lined up a new striker before Saturday for which they need to register with the Premier League before midday on Friday to be eligible to play against Liverpool at Anfield.

If his departure is confirmed it will free up another £40,000 per week off the wage bill, saving the Hammers £1.6m.

  1. Saw this earlier on Kumb, looks like he is already getting the sand between his toes & has buggerd off to Saudi 😉

  2. Is that the fellow out of The current bun who did all those stings on gullible celebs

  3. I admire Sean’s optimism when he says the sale of Maiga is an indication we have a replacement nailed down for Saturday. Given the club’s recent record in the transfer market (notably the story we were fed last week by son of DS that the striker issue would be solved by the middle of this week) it is just as likely that we will go into the game without a fit striker. Another gift to the press and fans of the rival clubs who were warned a few weeks ago that they would soon be nervously looking over their shoulders for us. I wish those at the top responsible for transfers would shut up until the ink has dried on any transfer contracts. Just adds to the joke material the club is handing out.

  4. On a Free means his Contract has been paid-up!

The Club has bitten the bullet and cleared out some of the Dead Wood – the Amount and Length of these Contracts must cause a lot of concern, it all smells a bit!

  5. Perhaps now Elliott Lee will get treated fairly and given his chance.

  6. I’m as sceptical as hammer 64 on this one , especially as this has never been confirmed yet and there seems only the slim hope of one deal, at best, coming off.
My thoughts, posted earlier, were that Slaven would be better of going to Liverpool with a defensive set-up of 4/5/1 and give the club the extra week to see if they can do a decent deal for a striker, although it still wouldn’t surprise me that much if we finish up without one and make do for a couple of matches until we get Sakho or Zarate, or Carroll back.

  7. The whole debacle of the transfer nonsense we are being subject to is without doubt
Farcical !! It’s like watching EastEnders and who killed Lucy ! Lol. It’s never ending
    bull****.
I still think we could do well at anfield . We have goals in the team but to go there for a draw
and try to shut up shop would be suicide !! Samesk you might say.
We need to go there and give a good account of ourselves win lose or draw and get on with
What we have got, because if no signings are made that’s exactly what we have got to do,
The west ham way you may say!!! You can’t fault a team that Try’s
They need to prove a point after the last two performances so you never know !?

  8. maiga with a smile on his little face. Lovely to see.

  9. I used to ask “Where’s Miagi” even when he was playing.

  10. I haven’t been to bed since Tuesday

  11. Sad thing is… We’re going to sign adebayour. Had a feeling it would happen right from the start. The daves haven’t put enough money on the table and now we’re left with the scraps.
I’ll be really really surprised if it isn’t adebayour that signs this week

    • I agree Irons. When the results start to free fall everyone will want Bilic’s head when it’s the cheapskate owners who need a good bollocking.

  12. Adebayour will be good for a few games then when Carroll and Valencia come back he will sulk then that it self will cause a problem.
Club TV show Carroll running around with the first team and mention he’s being training with them since Tuesday. I think the story of him rolling his ankle last week is a red herring. You wouldn’t run around like that if you had just rolled your ankle.
Expect him on the bench against Liverpool.

  13. Something’s been lost in translation…they think they’re getting Mario Balotelli
