Well the news came from out of the blue and the response from the fans has been rapid.
Here we have four fans giving their thoughts on the news that Slaven Bilic has chosen to call a halt to the pursuit of striking target Kelechi Iheanacho. It would be fair to say that most are far from impressed with this unexpected twist of events and many are now concerned if we’ll manage to secure a striker at all.

Lets hope Slav has secured the services of another of his targets shortly to be announced otherwise this one is going to cause a lot of friction between him and the fans.Could come back to haunt him big style although we know he is terrified of giving youth a proper chance.

Which team in their right mind will bother negotiating with West Ham. If it is true that it was down to the wire then I would think Man City and the player would be pretty ticked off. I can understand a footballing decision not to buy a player but surely as I understood the 3 wise men talk about potential additions and agree or disagree then not when the check is being signed.
I hope they have agreed on the other potential targets already just so we do not see this amateurish garbage again.

Never the less , it would be nice to hear an explanation . Maybe there is a decent striker or two on the way or maybe there isn’t . Messrs Sullivan & Gold are doing the exact opposite of last season by keeping quite ., but surely we deserve some kind of detail on this latest escapade . A looming relegation battle is hard to imagine but , if something doesn’t happen soon then maybe it could be easier to imagine and/or dread .
