Zaza: “I didn’t think it would be this different”

zaza2Simone Zaza is becoming more confident in the English game declaring:“I knew that when I arrived it would be hard, because it’s a completely different league, but I didn’t think it would be this different.

” I’m gradually getting used to it,  feeling more confident and I’m very positive at the moment.”

The Italy international has not been at his best inthe games so far and it will be interesting to see if he holds his place for tonight’s clash with Chelsea and added: “The fans will be behind us, but it will be a big challenge, so we will need to rise to that and play to our best on the night. I am very much looking forward to the match.”

Explaining his situation to ome extent he added: “The game is much more physical here and there is less emphasis on tactics.

“The game is non-stop for the whole 90 minutes and the other aspect that shouldn’t be understated is the fact that West Ham have got many new players this season. “It’s not easy for so many players to settle in and get to know each other in such a short space of time.”

  1. Don’t want to knock him really but “so many”, it’s no different to the numbers last season.

  2. I’m hoping he settles in and becomes good because we would have a hell of a team .not have to search ,I think people round here should take a chill pill and let Slav do his thing because in the space of a couple weeks we are looking like we get back to the top ten !

  3. I do feel for the itallian carlton cole i do like the bloke and hope he does settle in quickly as time is running out for him his not an itallian international for no reason he is obviously low on confidence because of his penalty miss in the euros and also in a new league one thing i must say is he looks pasionate about thr club going by his reaction the other week i no many have given up on him all ready but i do think once he gets his first goal and we play more to his strengths he would be a good player not world class but good so hopefully he can get a goal against the chelski and make his confidence soar through the roof
