Reports are beginning to emerge that Saudi Pro League clubs could be eyeing a January move for West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus.

Like much of the Hammers’ attack, Kudus is still trying to find his feet under new West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui. The Ghanaian has mostly been deployed on the left side of midfield, although he featured on the right when Jarrod Bowen moved into the striker role in the second half against Fulham.

Kudus has been linked with a move to Saudi ever since his transfer to the London Stadium. Premier League players, Ivan Toney and Moussa Diaby made similar moves this summer so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that it could happen.

However, it would be somewhat surprising for any club to attempt a January transfer for the winger, considering he had an £85 million buyout clause as recently as June. Any team wanting to buy Kudus from West Ham now would surely have to pay over £100 million for the player. A top Hammers source spoke exclusively to Claret & Hugh in August, stating unequivocally that the former Ajax man is not for sale.
