West Ham – thankfully – can suffer no more League position damage over the next couple of days.
There is one relatively key fixture today with Bournemouth plying Leeds – a game which could see the Cherries notch 39 points for the season thus moving five ahead of us.
Should Leeds get the win they will move onto 33 points which keeps them one behind us whilst bottom of the table Saints look doomed up at Newcastle.
Tomorrow sees Everton visit Leicester – a game which could see the Foxes move to within two points of us and Everton one should they come out on top.
We are now inĀ position with Southampton all but down that we are looking for two teams worse than us and Everton appear to be one of them.
It’s not a great idea to look too far ahead but next weekend see Leeds at Manchester City, Fulham host Leicester and Forest entertain Saints whilst we will have played Man City on Wednesday evening with United on our agenda next weekend.
