French side Lorient have told Abdul Majeed Waris that he can only leave the club if West Ham or another club is willing to pay 12 million euros (£11m) for his signature in this transfer window reports claim this afternoon.
The Ghanaian is desperate to leave but has been frustrated throughout the summer with three bids from Burnley rejected. Last Tuesday Burnley slapped in a £8 million deal for the Ghanaian only to be met with a big no as they hold out for a £11m deal.
The Ghanaian scored 9 league goals last season as Lorient. Waris, formerly of Spartak Moscow and Trabzonspor, can play as either a striker or winger. The transfer window closes this Thursday.
Another big name player to ‘move the club forward’ then? I notice crafty old Pulis has signed that Polish CDM (with an unspellable name )that a few people on here were bigging up as an alternative to Carvalho. Also Gibbs I think. They are doing OK even without more players. Mind you, I saw Stoke/ WBA on Sunday & it wasn’t pretty. In fact I slept through most of it- it was after a few pints to be fair. Should have stayed in the pub,
Gzregorz who is a talented CDM and on loan w Buy out option would have been less risk.
But not big on Major Striker Ligue 2 we could buy Lucas Perez for the money they want and he would be great in duo with Chicharito.
Otherwise just keep Sahko and play 2 up front Sahko might be happy to stay if Bilic goes.
This lad isn’t worth £11m
This guy looks rubbish.
