Sunderland Winger to Stay Put?

West Ham United’s reported interest in Sunderland winger Jack Clarke has raised eyebrows among fans. The Hammers have already made significant investments in their squad this summer, and the £25 million price tag for the 23-year-old could be a challenge.

Way back in January, David Moyes was keen to bring him to the London Stadium as he was unhappy with both of his left wing options in Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals, who both went on to leave in the same transfer window.

While Clarke has impressed in the Championship, his Premier League experience is limited. The Hammers may be hesitant to invest heavily in a player who has not proven himself at the top level.

Sunderland’s efforts to extend Clarke’s contract suggest that they value the player and are keen to retain his services. The Black Cats’ strong start to the season could also influence Clarke’s decision, as he may be reluctant to leave a team that is performing well.

However, the Black Cats are aiming to change that by offering their star player a new contract to increase his stay at the Stadium of Light, and therefore fend off West Ham’s interest.

Another non story. Come on. I know and appreciate you’re after clicks, but try harder please.

Am with the other posters here, there isn’t any concrete interest in the player and we have a multitude of wing options, we need a left back ideally one that can defend and attack like Ferdi Kadioglu news seems to have gone quiet on him recently, have you heard anything Simon ?

Also Omoroddion should be available for a bargain, Athletico need to sell and he somehow managed to screw up a nailed on transfer to Chelski so we could probably get him substantially cheaper.

I suspect we could also get Sterling for nothing and a fraction of his wages with the rest neing subsidised and he could fill that wing slot and play as a false 9.

Do Atletico still need to sell Omorodion after selling Felix to Chelsea? We were told here that we have zero interest in him anyway but things change.
Kadioglu would be a fantastic signing but don’t see us being able to afford him now.
