4,150 tickets are remaining for sale on the West Ham ticket office as of 10.30 pm on Friday, 9 Jan night for Sunday’s FA Cup game.

QPR have an allocation of 9,000, which they sold within 8 minutes of going on general sale. Away teams are permitted 15% allocation on FA Cup games.

QPR are bragging that many have managed to buy tickets in home sections close to away fans with sections 113,112, 217, 216,215, 214 and 213 targeted.

Some estimates suggest there could be as many as 15,000 QPR supporters, meaning an additional 6,000 away fans have purchased home tickets.

This could cause trouble at the game in some of these areas, with London Stadium stewards and police on full alert,

As it stands, West Ham will have sold in excess of 49,500 at the London Stadium, but maybe only 43,500 will be West Ham fans.

Unlike Premier League games, those who buy an individual ticket for a cup game tend to turn up.

i am a QPR Fan and supporter of 50 years – our fans never cause trouble – we cannot stand Chelsea or Millwall who have on previous occasions smashed up our family section at Loftus Road ……- yes we have purchased quite a few tickets in home areas tomorrow but this is a great match for us – be fair we have been playing Plymouth , Coventry and Charlton etc every week for last 5 years or so ……our fans will create a party atmosphere tomorrow and there will be no trouble – banter yes no doubt – but not trouble – unless West Ham attack us for no reason , our fans are fun party fans who Love QPR our club ….

What?! My gast is well and truly flabbered by the news!

QPR fans expect a cup upset at our expense? Can’t possibly imagine what would give them cause to believe that…

All seriousness, obviously hope it isn’t the case and we go through but I think a lot of fellow Irons wouldn’t be surprised if our cup “run” is a faceplant from the starter blocks.

I am old enough to remember a game at LR when 5k+ West Ham supporters turned up with forged tickets, they were on the stairs, around the pitch, everywhere, one of the best games for atmosphere I have ever been to, zero trouble, great time.

    • ANTHONY says:

Could be whu highest attendance this season.
Loose this and Spurs game might be more police and security than fans.

  • ForReal says:

It shows you how far we’ve fallen that even QPR – a non-entity of a club – are taking the urine!

It’s depressing to watch Palace, Fulham, and Brentford lord it over us. Now QPR have joined that list.

    • Bobby zamora says:

Never any problems between rangers and West Ham should be a great atmosphere.

Hopefully plenty of entertainment and goals

non entity of a club ?? A BIT UNCALLED FOR ??

OUR CLUB HAS REAL FANS WHO LOVE QPR !!!

RIP BONZO respect from all at QPR

  • Taffyhammer says:

Sean. Your numbers don’t appear to be consistent. However, there should be no problem with QPR fans buying tickets wherever they may sit.

A game of football is not a war. We are in 2026 and institutional discrimination is a thing of the past.

The only trouble being caused at the game in some areas will be as a result of intolerant West Ham ‘supporters’ calling for police and stewards to provide the entertainment by challenging our friends from elsewhere.

Solve the problem of indignant home support by putting them in their own cage and allow the rest of the civilised spectators to enjoy the football and their day out.

    We all deserve respect.

    • Martin Treasure says:

wrong, I’m afraid, the club explicitly forbid away supporters in home fan areas and supporters are urged to report these to stewards.. so says the WhU web site

      • Taffyhammer says:

Martin. I appreciate the facts of the dilemma as you point out.

My point is that WHU need to get real with their product.

We no longer live in the seventies or eighties. We should no longer cater for the couple of thousand locals. We need to be a broad church. West Ham can not survive on the income from attendances of 6000 or so dedicated Claret and Blue supporters.

This business model used to work in the old days with smaller clubs in lower divisions, but those days have gone. WHU need to open their doors to tolerance and friendly rivalry. We, the supporters, need to embrace the circumstances and enjoy the football.

If WHU want to continue forbidding ‘away’ supporters in home fan areas, I fully support the idea. Just need to designate a small area as a home fan area. The vast majority of the seats should be available for access to anyone that can afford the price of the ticket.

By all means continue with policing and stewards, but keep it relevant. No pick pockets. No smokers. No bad mouthed behaviour. No violence. No threats.

Whatever, I’m still here for the ride. Cheers Martin. COYI
