16 weeks for Carroll

|

carrollAndy Carroll is facing  16 WEEKS on the sidelines.

ClaretandHugh has learned the player will be ready to re-start his battle for match fitness in plenty of time for the new season.

The club learned earlier this week that the four month lay-off has been confirmed with a source declaring: “It’s 16 weeks. That’s been confirmed.”

“Andy should – according to our reports from medics – be okay to join the squad as it reassembles for the pre-season.”

“There should be no problems beyond that.”

TysonM I wasn’t saying he was anywhere the same as those what I was saying they are large ie in height and weight not ability,
It’s the manager and the approach play I think Morino would get more out of Carroll than BFS because he would use him differently,
BFS see lamppost aim high, what Carroll needed was Teddy teaching him to shield the ball and hold it up and lay it off instead every time trying to knock on for other players, his shooting and foot speed is not that bad,
Same old thing it’s BFS and his antiquated methods.

Look at the goals Costa & Boney score with their feet, acclerating at the defence.Running past defenders like they aint there.Carroll is not even comparable with those two. They score 70/80% of their goals with their feet.Carroll the other way round. They are totally different players all together.Neither of them are big target men like Carroll. They are so much more than that.Sorry Bubs but i aint having this one, lol.

You can still play good football with a large front man ie Costa at Chelsea Or Boney,
    Dzeco Man City,Ect,cet
It’s the build up to that and it’s cover when those players are missing,
But I think Carroll will always have injury problems because his brawn out plays his brain and that is why we like him when he does play he gives you 100 %,
He needs to prove he is fit for the like of BFS at Sunderland to buy him ?

Yes Tyson I agree with you; he’s not the model of the modern striker. If we want to change our play style we can’t build our team around him; we need technically gifted
and speed strikers, like Sakho and Valencia. As you wrote, nothing in particular against Carroll, but I would prefer to sell him and with the earned money we could buy other players. In my opinion Carroll will never accept a role as gregarious, so I think West Ham has only one solution: sell him.

If he is needed for pre-season.If we get a new manager, especially a foreign one.How many play these days with a big man as a striker as the main option. His appearances & opportunities could be limited anyway.I have nothing against Carroll, can be a top player on his day.But i dont see a manager from abroad having him as the man they build their team around.Only old school dinosaurs like Allardyce generally have this idea of how football should be played. Most managers now dont regard launching the ball upfield to see where it lands off a big mans head as the way to go,thankfully.
