THE LAST time that West Ham United looked north of the border for young talent they came away with Celtic youngster Dan Cummings who has been gradually building his stock and his fitness in the u21’s. After shoulder surgery at the start of last season, Cummings took a while to hit full fitness but was back in scoring form for the academy side by the end of the season.
A goal scorer with Champions League experience, Cummings perhaps hasn’t justified all of the hype with which he arrived last Summer, and is rumoured to be ripe for a loan spell away from the club next season.
Which apparently hasn’t deterred the Hammers who, according to reports, (celtsarehere.com) are now looking at another Celtic youngster, striker Callum Osmand:
..”West Ham are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old ahead of the summer window. The interest is not believed to be new. The Hammers are said to have followed Osmand’s progress during his time at Fulham before he made the move north to join Celtic last summer.”

Goals for Celtic’s senior squad : Callum Osmand
Having only been at Celtic for one year after joining from Fulham on a ‘free’, the diminutive English centre forward looks another good prospect who could slot straight into a Championship attack without blowing the budget.
One to watch as the summer window opens on the 15th: The Hammers will need to manage their departures first before bolstering the squad for next season but those squad members have to come from somewhere. A ‘mere’ half million quid on transfermarkt.com, Celtic are unlikely to sell him without making money so you’d have to think the Irons would need to fork out several million to sweeten the deal.
I think Nino will be looking for a tall target man as per Chris Wood and for us older Hammers David Cross
I just hope we get players in early and don’t waste time chasing players who are not really interested or other clubs are before us in line to buy them.
We do not have time to waste, let’s sell the players which want to go and the dead wood and build a team who want to play for the club.
We do not want players who are disruptive and not team players.
We want a harmonious dressing room and descent hungry players to get our team straight back up to the premiership
Come on you Irons
No chance for anything lower than £10m. Wee guys loving life at Celtic, huge support through his injury and lots of faith shown in him, he won’t be leaving for a second division team
