Gold: “We will give Andy Carroll another week”

West Ham joint chairman David Gold has said that the club decided against introducing Andy Carroll back from injury on Sunday and instead will give him another week of intensive training which will presumably rule him out of the second game against Manchester United in the EFL cup on Wednesday evening.

Hammers linked with £15m centre back

West Ham have been linked with Sunderland defender Lamine Kone. A report in the Daily Mirror by John Richardson claims Hammers chiefs are lining up a January move for the Ivory Coast star who will cost around £ 15m.
