32 years young on Wednesday – Nobes you were superb

Mark Noble’s current form has been a total revelation and he is a player who must be sick the season is one game away from closure.

It has you wondering who on earth could take over as captain from the midfielder who may well have played his best game of the season against Southampton.

He was everywhere, barely wasting a ball, producing some wonderful passes – one of which laid on the goal for Marko Arnautovic’s first strike.

And it can be no coincidence that as the quality of the team’s football improves the captain’s game is improving with it with the promise of much better to come.

Nobes has taken more than his fair share of criticism from some during the course of this and last season and it’s a real pleasure to pay tribute to him through this piece.

He is demonstrating regularly now that age is no enemy when the brand of football being produced suits the way you were brought up to play the West Ham Way.

He’s approaching his 32nd  birthday on Wednesday but his form yesterday was that of a bloke at least four years younger.

Well done Nobes – superb performance.

  1. Excellent performance from the captain

  2. Well said Hugh. He has been our best player last few games, was superb against spurs and Southampton. I have to say when he is on top form he’s still one of our best players.
