£4.5bn Spurs Takeover Bid Could Impact West Ham Future

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly the target of a US consortium which has launched a record £4.5billion takeover bid.

Reports suggest that tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick is leading a group that has approached ENIC, just weeks after Spurs’ owners rejected two informal offers for their majority stake in the North London club.

If successful, the takeover could have two major implications for West Ham.

Former Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy could buy shares in West Ham

Firstly, former Tottenham chief executive Daniel Levy would pocket around £800m for his shareholding. Levy has previously been linked with a move for West Ham, should current majority shareholder David Sullivan decide to sell.

Secondly, such a huge deal could further inflate Sullivan’s already ambitious valuation of West Ham. Many believe the chairman’s pricing is the key reason there has been little genuine interest in a full takeover, with a significant disparity between the value of the Gold family’s shares and Sullivan’s own.

Meanwhile, Amanda Staveley, who had also shown interest in Tottenham without tabling a formal offer, is now rumoured to be considering a move for West Ham instead.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

If you had an overseas consortium with a few billion to spend, why wouldn’t you consider buying a club with pretty much untapped potential and an underdeveloped business model at a fraction of the cost that it would cost to both buy Tottenham and fork out a similar player spend to get in position for title push ?
If West Ham can be bought for under £1b, that spares you £3b+ player investment to easily build a new stadium and rebuild the squad far cheaper than it would be to buy Torttenham.
    Just a thought

West Ham are worth nothing, second rate club run by third rate self serving megalomaniacs, the club as it is will be a memorial to incompetence and greed. 60 years supporting to come to this, so sad , but all good things come to an end 🙏

Rumours, Rumours and more rumours. Sullivan wont sell. He wants to hand the club over to his son.

If we can oust Sullivan and Brady, I’d be happy with takeover from Zippy and Bungle…

West ham have very few assets apart from player contracts.
    The ground is a major
West ham can’t increase revenue because they don’t own their own ground, don’t get benefit of catering or anything else.
Spurs use their stadium for multiple sporting events and concerts and make huge match day revenue, they own the profits
As womens football grows spurs and others can grow with it. West ham can’t because of the ground situation.

Other teams are now leaving us behind because of the owners desire to do everything on the cheap. It’s catching up with the club with no way to increase revenue which is now king due to FFP.

Our club can’t be compared with the other teams…
