Fans deliver Rondon verdict

Hammers fans have delivered their verdict on the club’s attempts to bring West Brom’s Salomon Rondon to the club and would prefer the Irons to turn their attentions elsewhere.

After it emerged that a £10 million plus two players bid – Jordan Hugill and Sam Byram – had been offered in return for the striker, opinion seemed to be pretty well divided on the forums.

Rondon is available on a free transfer next summer but the Hammers – with Slaven Bilic having moved into the Hawthorns – have tested the water and believe they still have a chance of getting him according to CandH insiders.

Whether the fans want him or not is an entirely different matter so we too tested the water with our own poll on their feelings and with over 1400 voting the verdict was a relatively narrow ‘don’t bother.’

Our question was “Should West Ham increase their offer for Rondon” and a total of 785 ( 54.59 pc ) said no with 653 (45.41 pc) saying yes.

  1. Really not sure why we wouldn’t welcome this signing. Scores goals, leads the line, not too costly and proven in the Prem. Good option up front.
