West Ham are reported to be one of six teams in the chase  for Villarreal forward Gerard Moreno according to Sport Bild.

However, it looks like a really tough call given that both Manchester City and Atletico Madrid are among the other teams claimed to be keen on the player.

According to the report he is favoured to join La Liga winner side Atletico Madrid anyway..

It seems a highly unlikely link anyway given that he is expected to carry a €43 million minimum price target with the price possibly even going as high as €65 million.

Such prices seem to be something of a media invention because as things stand in the covid market advanced payment terms and lower figures seem to be very much the order of the day.

Once again the silly season is taking on an even greater perspective  with the Hammers not even looking an outside bet for the player.
