Andy Carroll was well pleased to play alongside Diafra Sakho during the second half of yesterday’s match against Swansea.

The pair scared the visitor’s defence to death with the range of pace power and movement with Carroll clearly enjoying every second of the experience.

He said: “it was  great to play with Diafra Sakho. We had a little word when he came on about what was going to happen – where I was going to go and where he was going to be – and it was a great little piece of movement for his goal as well.” 

AC was delighted with the team’s comeback powers saying: “We’ve gone behind in the last two games but pulled it back with two great performances. The lads are buzzing to be winning and buzzing to be in the top three. 

I think we can keep doing it all season. We’ve got great players, we’ve got the manager, the team’s just fantastic at the minute and we’ve just got to continue the way we are.
