AC Milan to force Bacca’s hand

CarlosAC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is set to hold crunch talks with the agent of Carlos Bacca over the striker’s lack of response to West Ham desire to buy him according to reports from Italy.

The 29-year-old striker has a number of offers on the table but in recent interviews he claims he dreams of  Champions League football.

West Ham are claimed to have offered the Colombian international €4m-a-year (£63,500 per week) plus bonuses.

The package is thought to be the highest he has received but it’s believed it’s the Hammers’ Europa League qualification status that is proving to be putting him off.

The likes of Atletico Madrid and Arsenal have also been linked as potential suitors for Bacca, with the striker hoping either side comes in to increase on West Ham’s offer.

AC Milan are financially dependant on selling Bacca, and are unable to push ahead for other transfer targets until the Colombian is sold. Thus they want the player to make a quick decision.

  1. Sean do we really want a player forced to accept a deal to play for us??

  2. He can do one in my opinion . His heart is in his bank . If 63 thousand pounds a week is not enough then we don’t need him . Anyway , never seen a lot of him actually playing just like the majority of failed signings . All these strikers are supposed to be gods gift , but who has actually wachted them play ?? . Non of us fans for sure .
We can rely on Slaven , that’s should be obvious . He will find the right player eventually , don’t worry . Reckon there’s a few youngsters itching to get going .

    • If his heart was his his bank he wouldn’t have rejected moves from China earlier in the year. He’s stalling with us because, as he clearly said, he wants Champions League and obviously isn’t convinced that he will be able to achieve that with us. He’s heard Atletico and Arsenal are interested, so how can you blame him? If I was a player like him and not a West Ham fan, I would be trying to go to the best club possible, especially at his age. He’s probably worried that he’ll end his career sinking down into the Premier League’s mid-table with us. He doesn’t know the club, or the ambition we have, all he sees is our past results which are nothing compared to the likes of Arsenal or Atletico. And you may not have watched him, but I and many other fans certainly have, he’s actually a top striker in Europe and his style of play would suit our team incredibly well, he’s fast, strong, skilful and is a great finisher. And Slav has said himself that he’s not going to rely on youngsters, and with good reason.

  3. The Calleri news is far more important IMO. This is the kind of striker we not only can get but need to get, lots of potential and young enough to grow.
Bacca, it’s true will probably do the job but he will only stay if we make CL this season

    • Yes, but a player like Bacca could be instrumental to us making CL. He’s already proved himself with back to back Europa League trophies. We’ve already got an incredible attacking midfield, all we need is a striker of the same calibre and if Bacca can be that, it could fire us to a Europa League title or top 4. Now if Bacca comes in and is poor, we probably won’t get CL and no CL clubs are going to want to be looking at him then, the only case in which I could see Bacca leaving is if he was amazing, yet we still didn’t get CL. And that’s very unlikely, we’ve already got a fantastic team.

  4. Barahino will score 20 goals a season playing for us with the sort of service he does not get at WBA and he is young,
Calleri and Yedder would be good choices as well but we need a target man to push AC or cover his injury time
Only Bony or Remy at the moment will cover this,
If Oxford will not sign a new contract with us do a swap for Bony,
Pay the extra £5 million and swap Sak for Barahino,
Sell Valencia and buy Yedder or Calleri
