Admired starlet yet to commit future to Hammers

According to Roshane Thomas writing for the Athletic   West Ham Academy youngster, Daniel Chesters is attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League, Championship and abroad, with the 18-year-old midfielder yet to commit his future to West Ham.

Chesters scholarship deal concludes at the end of June. He has been offered a two-year professional contract, which the club hope he will sign. West Ham are in negotiations with Chesters’ representatives but it is claimed discussions have stalled due to the current lockdown and the added complication that the midfielder recently changing agents.

Prior to the curtailment of fixtures in the under-18 and under-23 competitions, Chesters played 17 games, provided five assists and scored one goal.

Hertfordshire-born Chesters has been with the Academy of Football since he was seven, working his way up the age groups to the U23’s.
