Adrian linked with £3m summer exit

Adrian_3164087bReports suggest Crystal Palace are in talks in an attempt to get Adrian to swap London clubs with West Ham getting a transfer fee of around £3m in return. Palace has reportedly turned their attentions to the Spaniard after failing in initial move to land Jasper Cillessen.

Adrian has been at the Hammers for four years since arriving on a free transfer from Real Betis in June 2013. He has made 123 appearances for the club but only made 19 starts last season.

Sky Bet make Palace the 6/4 favourites to Land Adrian with Newcastle 100/30, Brighton are 20/1 with Watford 25/1 and Real Betis 33/1. The keeper is 11/10 to stay at West Ham.

TransferMarket value the stopper at £6.8m while valuing Darren Randolph at £2.1m who sold for £5m.

Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is said to have already started his search for another goalkeeper to come in as cover for England international Hart should Adrian decide he wants out.

One rumour to resurface is possible interest in Brentford stopper Daniel Bentley who has recently signed a new contract with the Bees. The 24-year-old was born in Basildon and said to be a boy hood West Ham fan. He was often linked with a move to the Hammers while at Southend before his £1.1m switch to Brentford last year.  John Ruddy was another name linked as backup for the Hammers earlier this summer but he joined Wolves earlier this month.

  1. Firstly we need to keep Adrian if possible.
Secondly that price of £3 million is ridiculously low. Suggest offers over £9 million only if Adrian really wants to leave.

  2. The reality of signing Hart is beginning to bite Home . We will need a very good understudy if Adrian leaves us .

  3. Well i would keep him if poss but if he goes so be it.Him and Randolph gave me the jitters last season.

  4. If you read an article and it has a bid that is clearly ridiculous, you should treat the article the same way you do if a Nigerian Lottery firm contact you to tell you you have won.

  5. Transfermarket has Randolph down as £2.13m and we got £5m so multiple £6.8m by 2.34 and you get a true valuation of £15.9m 😉 That would pay for Hernandez

    • Sounds reasonable Sean but I hope it doesn’t transpire I like Adrian and he has always shown love for the fans.

  6. 5 million would be fair but we need a keeper for nada
Has the old Norwich keeper been snapped up yet ?
He has been a good servant to this club and if we get our price and he wants to leave he should be allowed to go

  7. If we sold Randolph for 5 we wont sell Adrian for 3….Begovic went to B’mouth for about 10….my personal opinion is that Begovic is far better than Adrian so a 6-8 seems about right…

  8. Massive mistake letting him go
Transfer fee laughable in present climate.
Keep him once hart is in the window we could lose both then left with no one. Open your eyes west ham.

  9. You can find a decent keeper fairly easily if needed in the summer next year.
Jussi,Adrian,Randy all came to us as freebies. It ain’t like finding a top striker. There are always good keepers who want a move from being second fiddle at a club.We will find a good keeper or 2 easy next summer if we have too.No drama as i see it 😉

    • Very true need to his on to him. Too hard and late to find decent keeper … Would end up with Shay Given. And Hart is on loan could off next summer If good or not settle in club and then trott would be in over his head.
Slav said Hart has to earn spot and has only played 40m in preseason so Slav should stick to his word. And I’d Hart has no competition we won’t get the best out of him. Not to mention Cup games

  10. Personally I’d give a pair of gloves to Phil Parkes again

  11. No problem as I see it , England’s no 1, best keeper DS has ever worked with , who needs San Miguel with that sort of quality on board 🙂 , no pressure on hart to perform at all imo:-) could go disastrously wrong in weeks then what ? Huge gamble this IMO, Adrian needs to stay , but then again this could all be boltox , and a pointless discussion 🙂 it needs to be concrete not if or but 🙂 done with speculating lol 🙂
