New goalkeeping coach, Chris Woods, has as much to be pleased about with No1 Irons stopper Adrian after Sunday’s great performance at the Emirates.
The former England ‘keeper was among boss, Slaven Bilic’s, first appointments and has been hard at work with the top Spaniard.
And his delight is clear after seeing his man keep a clean sheet in clash with the Gunners, declaring: “As a goalkeeper coach, you can’t ask for a better start than that.”
Speaking to www.whufc.com, Woods added: “Adrian has been different class to work with. He’s full of energy, eager to do well and ke knows what he wants out of the game. It’s been good getting to know him and hopefully we will get to know how each other works and form a good relationship.
“Good goalkeeping is all about doing the right things at the right times and then making those important saves when you need to. He came and caught a couple of crosses too, which takes pressure off the back four.
“I’m so pleased for him that he kept a clean sheet.”
Have been very surprised that another top club has not tried to poach Adrien,
He is as good as De Gea or Lloris and better than the Arsenal double disaster
But we need to keep him for the next ten years
Agree, he doesn’t get the press the others get but he will make the Spanish team, then they will be knocking on the door, give him an approved contract before it happens
