Aguerd pulls out of semi final late

Nayef Aguerd was pulled oput of the World Cup semi final late after being named as Morocco’s central defender for the World Cup semi final against France this evening.

The Hammers central defender had been named on the team sheet but failed to appear when the teams appeared from the “tunnel.”

It seems that the thigh injury he suffered against Spain has not fully healed but as there was no explanation for his absenceĀ  one can only assume that to be the case.

The Moroccans may have wished he had made it after some shocking defending saw the French go ahead within five minutes.

However all Hammers will be delighted given that it was known from the diagnosis of his injury that it would take between one to three weeks for him to make a full recovery.

And there now seems to be no danger of the player aggravating the injury further.
