Aguerd’s Morocco reach Round 16

Aguerd’s Morocco into next Afcon stage

Nayef Aguerd’s Morocco  enter the Afcon  knock-out stages as winners of Group F although his absence has barely created the interest surrounding Mo Kudus’

Aguerd – unfit for several games for the Hammers before Afcon – was reported by the official site to have played a pivotal role as Morocco defeated Zambia 1-0 on last night.

Morocco are among the favourites to win the competition and they now enter the Round of 16 as the top team from their group having completed their group-stage campaign with seven points from three matches

The central defender was involved through last night’s game and has been an ever present for his  throughout the campaign thus far.

He seems quite likely to be involved until February 13 when the competition ends but certainly  into early Feb as he prepares for the next stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, Kudus is now believed to be on his way back to London soon and will be available for the game against Bournemouth.
