Manuel Pellegrini has shuffled the pack and come up with a series of cards that nobody could have predicted!
Out goes Felip Anderson,
Out goes Chicharito
Out goes Mark Noble
In comes Mark Arnautovic
In comes Lucas Perez
In comes Pedro Obiang and
In comes Robert Snodgrass
The only thing certain about any Pellegrini team selection is its uncerainty but unless one of two are carrying injuries none of us know anything about the starting X1 for tonight’s game seems bizarre.
Among the other milder surprises is that there is no place for Ryan Fredericks with Zaba keeping his place at right back.
But it’s probably the Perez selection which will have most jaws dropping given Chicharito sparked the comeback with two goals against Huddersfield.
It looks like a big series of gambles on a day when eighth Watford have been beaten at Old Trafford and Wolves suffered a 2-0 defeat at Burnley leaving the Irons of a chance of jumping into seventh place.
Not sure what Pelle is thinking here.He keeps harping on about 7th then sends out half a team of players who look to be on their way out in the Summer. That defence looks ropey again. What about Balbuena?.Wont get away with it this time if they play like they did against Hudds.
7th place?Europe? this sorry lot? what a discrace of a football club we are,its 100% the managers fault to show that look after resting for 2 weeks… we are a small club with huge fans!!
I think you are spot on here hammer64. How on earth can you pick Perez when you have Chicarito . Two goals in the last game. And Obiang? I don´t want to be to negative here, but can pleaase sombody explain why pelle pick him over Noble. Do we don´t want the sevent place?
