Allardyce cricitises Newcastle manager

Sam“It looks like our final game of the season at Newcastle could have some added significance following their spiral” Sam Allardyce has penned  in his London Evening Standard column.

“I watched John Carver’s outburst after last week’s defeat at Leicester with some dismay as he accused Mike Williamson of getting sent off on purpose. I like John enormously, I’ve known him for many years and I have nothing but respect for him and particularly the great success he enjoyed with Bobby Robson at the club he loves. It was an over-passionate reaction from him, though, as he searched for answers – and it was totally down to pressure. It’s an awful shame it hasn’t gone well for John because he’s a football man through and through, he loves the club and it’s hurtful when you are as attached as he is. It could destroy him for a while but if you are going to say what he said about one of his players, then do it behind closed doors.”

  1. He is getting some practice in by having a pop at Newcastle or their manager. He is trying to win the hearts of Sunderland fans already 😉

  2. ahah… Every time I see a Sam’s picture I’m excited, before I even read the article… lol… Well Sam, it’s a good thing you had kind words for Man Utd, its doors are still open for you… you’re welcome there… lol

  3. Im pretty sure Carver know what he did was maybe wrong without Hippohead writing about it in a newspaper column.Maybe Allardyce should give him lessons in how to be the ultimate premier league manager.

  4. Carver claiming to be the best coach in the Premiership has upset BFS, we all know that title belongs to BFS – well according to BFS anyway!!

  5. I guess as the most flexible, sophisticated manager in the league he is in a position to make these comments & dispense his wise words to the masses about other managers 😉

  6. How unprofessional can you get kick a man when he is down BFS ,
At least when I stared on you we were 4th in the league ( pinch myself 4th )
Could have wrote how you gave the team a day off because of fatigue and had a day at the races ( nice perk if you can get it ) I expect Mr Carver was hard at work trying to find a way of beating your defensive wall 10 at the back Nolan up front looking for that goal

  7. I’m so glad I’ve got my toon ticket to see Allardyces last game.

  8. He can talk the talk, cant walk the walk!!!
