‘Allardyce Factor’ may haunt Irons at Everton

|

waving sam_allardyce_1528056cWest Ham could be hit by the ‘Allardyce Factor’ at Goodison Park this evening (Wed).

The former Irons boss is widely reported as being close to signing a deal to take over the Merseysiders – a move which could be made even before tonight’s game.

And it could even be that the stout figure of the former England boss will be seen watching from the standsĀ ahead of taking over what would becomeĀ his eleventh club as a manager.

Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth has pleaded with the club to make an appointment and it may well be that the Everton players would be galvanised for the game with an appointment of the 62 year old.

However, Hammers boss and former Toffees chief David Moyes has made it clear this is a game we “must win” and after a battling performance against Leicester City confidence appears to be growing.

Michail Antonio is available for selection but the game will come too soon for Javier Hernandez.

I expect them to name him, whatever the case if he hasn’t taken coaching they should still be the disorganised rabble they have been for the last few matches allbeit putting in a bit of extra effort to impress the new boss… I am still hopeful for a win and another improved performance COYI !!!

On this fear factor the stats prove Moyes is a considerably better manager than Allardyce, I was just reading an article about Allardyce and no matter the team his highest win percentage was at Palace 38.1% but other than that it is 33-34% which means that Moyes is on average more than 10% better than Allardyce on win percentage and closer to 15 points a season better as allardyce is usually in the 40 – 50 point bracket and Moyes in the upper 50’s with similar sized clubs and budgets, so we are definitely better off with Moyes than Everton with Allardyce COYI !!!
