Allardyce fires a defensive warning

reidSam Allardyce – having made it clear he won’t be going “all out” on the attacking front this evening has also fired a big warning at his defence.

The Irons have not looked great at the back and Winston Reid’s form has been erratic.

And with the likes of Mario Balotelli and Raheem Sterling to look after, Allardyce has made it clear what he expects.

The manager of course spent much of last season praising his defenceĀ to the skiesĀ for their tight and miserly approach to things.

It could hardly have been more different this campaign as we still looking for the first clean sheet of the season.

The manager said: “We haven’t had a clean sheet, yet we had 14 last year…We’ve got to start doing our defensive job better.”
