Match of the day pundit Danny Murphy told Alan Brazil on Talkpsort Spotrs Breakfast radio show that QPR owner Tony Fernandes should make an attempt to lure Sam Allardyce to Loftus Road as he is out of contract in the summer and yet to hold talks about a new deal.
Murphy said he was baffled by the Hammers board failure to tie down their experienced boss, and claims he would be the perfect man to succeed Harry Redknapp.
“The reasons why he hasn’t got a contract so far are not in the public domain and I think it is a strange one to be honest,” said Murphy
“If they did want to tie him down, it shouldn’t be that difficult just to get it done. I personally think what he has done at West Ham this season has been brilliant.
“He has adapted a little bit the way they play, he mixes it up nicely now, has made some brilliant signings, the club is moving forward – why would you want to change the management?”
Asked if QPR should make an approach, he said: “Yeah. Why not? He is proven at keeping teams in the Premier League.
“Would he leave West Ham to go to QPR? I’m not sure, but anybody who is fighting down the bottom would do well getting a better appointment than Big Sam.”
I’m really happy, yesterday Fulham and today QPR. Murphy listin to me: he would be the perfect man for QPR, don’t worry, make an approach and I’m sure he’ll accept your offer. I suggest you to take with him also Nolan and Carroll and the show is guaranteed!
You little beauty! I pray it becomes a reality.Well put mattefumi.
