Allardyce: Mo’s form fell after first season

|

Sam-AllardyceSam Allardyce has issued a few short and sweet words to Mo Diame following his departure to Hull City.

Commenting on the former midfielder’s remark that he wasn’t always played in his favourite position at the club Allardyce said: “All I would say, though, is that he did tremendously well in his first season with us but never reached that standard again.

Writing in his London Evening Standard column he added: “He can criticise me all he likes but sometimes players need to look at themselves.

“And the reality is that we couldn’t play him in the central midfield position he likes most because there were other players doing better than he was.

Now I wish Mo all the best at Hull and I’ll be seeing him on Monday when we play them at the KC Stadium.
