Sam Allardyce has given his summing up why the Irons keep snatching draws from the jaws of victory!
He said: “I think it was some bad luck against Tottenham, a bad decision against Manchester United, poor marking because James Collins had to go off against Swansea and poor defending against West Brom at home.
“So there are some situations where we have to be more resilient but not on Sunday. Before we gave the penalty away we were doing most things right so it was more luck than talent that got Tottenham the point.
“On the penalty, if we’d kept our heads we would have seen the game out at 2-1, which would have been a great result and a great performance. ”
The manager was not too downbeat overall, though, and believes a similar performance against Crystal Palace on Saturday will yield a return to winning ways.
He told www.whufc.com: “Sunday was a bit difficult for the lads to take but we have to take heart out of the performance and go and deliver that performance against a team that has got momentum.
“Let’s take it out on them and if we play like we did on Sunday we’ll have the opportunity to beat them.”
“Before we gave the penalty away we were doing most things right so it was more luck than talent that got Tottenham the point”.
I prefer to say “Before your made your useless and senseless substitutions we were doing most things right”.
I’m sure you think of yourself as a sophisticated manager, but those subs have not been so sophisticated dear BFS.
What momentum have Palace got, they have won one of their last 5 games. But i guess in Allaryces world that is momentum.Seems he is already building up our next opponents in case we dont beat them.Muppet.
Yes Tyson, listening to BFS’s words, every time our next opponent seems to be in seventh heaven…
