Allardyce on the sack

Sam+AllardyceSam Allardyce seems confident he is in no imminent danger of the sack.

Despite a shocking pre-season which has brought fan fury down on his head, the manager has claimed that he is entirely secure at Upton Park.

And a highly placed club source has confirmed to ClaretandHugh the manager’s view of his position declaring: “Sacking is simply not an option at this stage.”

Allardyce had claimed publicly: “It has all been put to bed It has arisen occasionally here and there again, but here I am grafting away with the owners trying to bring the best players we possibly can to make this squad stronger and better for next season.”

And our source  explained that there was no chance of the axe falling at this stage.

He said: “It’s not the way the owners work. They simply are not sackers. Plain and simple.

“Of course if things started very badly then there’s always that danger. It’s par for the course but at this stage everybody is relaxed.”
