Allardyce QPR link surfaces again

sam_allardyce_2093173cSam Allardyce is this morning again being linked with Queens Park Rangers as a new end of season boss.

Darren Lewis – who covers West Ham for The Mirror writes: “Sam Allardyce is a candidate for the Queens Park Rangers job if he is not kept on by West Ham.”

Sunderland also remain interested in the 60 year old who is seen as a dab hand at taking relegated teams up and keeping struggling teams afloat.

Some at QPR have felt that his experience would be an asset at Loftus Road next season and the story first emerged after Harry Redknapp quit the club.

Much as Rangers may want him, however, a lot will depend on which league they are playing in next season with the team currently rooted second off bottom with 22 points.

Sunderland, meanwhile, hare in 17th and neither looks the most attractive proposition as things stand.

Allardyce has regularly claimed, however, that he will discuss his future with the Irons board at the end of the season and that until then such reports are “pure speculation.”
