Allardyce: Sakho can be as good as Owen

OwenHammers boss Sam Allardyce  reckons Diafra Sakho will become as lethal in front of goal as Michael Owen.

The Senegal striker goes to Sunderland today looking to take increase his phenomenal strike rate and Allardyce is thrilled with the cut price signing.

Andy Carroll grabbed the healines with a double goal blast against Swansea last week and Sakho was right back on the goals trail with one of his own after injury.

Allardyce named Nicolas Anelka, Mark Viduka and Owen as the three most clinical strikers he has ever worked with.

sakho-diafra_3214372But he added:  “He will be as good eventually. I think the way he is going at the moment he will get there. He is learning all the time.
