According to former boss West Ham boss Sam Allardyce Harry Maguire didn’t join the Irons because “he wanted something bigger.”

It was firmly believed it was because United had failed to agree on a pay off for the central defender but apparently that was not the case all says Allardyce.
Instead, it was about the Premier League form shown by the Hammers which saw them around the bottom of the table last season.
And it wasn’t until a late recovery that they fully escaped before going on to put a shine on the season by winning the Conference trophy.
Maguire had made it clear when the transfer talk started that he wasn’t keen on a West Ham move and it seems – if BFS is believed -that has remained the case.
Allardyce shared what he’s been led to believe about the £30m defender on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast when asked where the England man would be at the end of the window.
He said: “At Man United. He turned West Ham down. I know his agent really well . I think that, and this is no disrespect to West Ham, because I have managed, them, he feels that with the troubles they had last season down the bottom of the league he doesn’t want to be going there, he wants something bigger,”
Good news but now
worse news about Paquwta
Well, that’s OK then; because we wanted “someone” bigger, too; as I opined on this subject about a week ago. As far as I’m concerned, everyone is happy !
Pity something bigger doesn’t want him. He sit on the bench and carry on waiting as fourth choice centre back
Coming from a man that can’t get a job …his no disrespect is total s**te.
Most of us don’t want Maguire anyway fat Sam
