Jason Burt writing for the Sunday Telegraph has suggested Sam Allardyce will leave West Ham immediately following Sunday’s match against Newcastle. Burt writes:

“Sam Allardyce will leave West Ham United by mutual agreement immediately after Sunday’s final Premier League game of the season away to his former club, Newcastle United.”

He also suggests “West Ham had expected to announce this Tuesday that Rafael Benítez would then take over as their manager. But it is understood that deal has now broken down after a dramatic intervention by Real Madrid last week.”

He says the soon to be former West Ham manager has received “an intriguing offer to move into international management and take over as the coach of Nigeria, even though the coach, Stephen Keshi, who has endured a tumultuous time, recently signed a new deal. There is also understood to be a Premier League club who are interested in Allardyce.”

Finally Burt says “What is clear is that Allardyce is leaving West Ham, after four years in charge, and he is expected to confirm this himself in the media briefings after today’s match at St James’ Park.”

  1. Hmmm, the hippo could be off to his home continent of Africa then.Cant come soon enough, jog on Allardyce.

  2. Lets hope so,finally get rid of Mr.Respectthepoint 😉

  3. Allardyce coaching Nigeria ? There will be blood in the streets…LOL

  4. Oh, I am glad he’s leaving but if they thought they had Benitez and he is backtracking that is a little worrying as we will again more than likely end up with someone who is not our first choice. Not a Bilic fan I’m afraid; they need to get this appointment right.

  5. Yeah H,if he or sammerettes think people who dont like sam as manager here are extreme wait till he gets to africa & loses a game. All hell will break out,lol 😀

  6. Found this tweet from Italian sports reporter about Klopp’s chances at Real:
“Real Madrid held several talks with Klopp until 10 days ago. At the moment he is not considered as labelled as “too much independent””.
Could he also be too independent for West Ham ? 🙂

  7. You are hanging onto this hope H,would be great but i cant see it happening unfortunately 😉

  8. IF Klopp really chose Fenerbahce over West Ham, I’d have to doubt the wisdom in that move. West Ham surely a better address than Fenerbahce, yes they have CL, but West Ham are in the Premier League. But Klopp surely knows very well what’s best for him.
Football in Turkey is special to put it mildly. It’s not for everyone and there are players and managers who have fled from there in a state of shock due to the fans’ passion/madness.

  9. well everyone is happy about Sam going? Actually, I think I am more excited by the prospect of not having to watch Kevin Nolan and Carlton Cole again LOL

  10. “Sam fans latest attack shows he has to go!” where did this story go?

  11. Sad to say but I think Klopp is waiting for a bigger Premier League club to put an offer in. Pie and mash juts doesn’t seem to float his boat.

  12. I would sooner have a manager that wants the job and Bilic said a month ago he would be interested,Rafa would want a war chest of a min £100 million, still think the must speak English is a mistake and the other person who was interested Biesla would be a good appointment,he has built good teams without large amounts of funds available,
But you can’t have everything so welcome Slaven take us forward into a new era and new ground

    • my thoughts exactly Bubs. The thing though is that this managerial lark is such a short term thing nowadays anyway. I think Sam is the second or third longest serving manager in the PL and he has only been with us 4 years. Take a chance on Bilic and if things are looking sticky after Xmas we can always try and get Sam or Pulis to pull us out of the sh.t…LOL!!

  13. Well said Bubs… Anyway… 24 May 2015… Here in Italy birds are chirping outside the window, the sun is shining… It’s the last day of Sam… WOW!

  14. Can’t come soon enough.Again Houdini hoodwinked the owners and board last year. Now for the disappearing trick.

  15. Sam to leave on sunday !!! —- Party at my house, you’re all invited 🙂

  16. If this is indeed true what a way to brighten up a BH weekend…To all his disciples who’ve said ” Be careful what you wish for” well my wish 12 months ago was for this uninspiring relic to be no longer with us and guess what?

  17. Last day of Sam????? I,m not so sure!.

  18. Ahaha… sorry, you are right, not the last day… less than 24 hours… Lol

  19. Just incase you missed this! http://postimg.org/image/3xxrrshk3/ my last one was sabotaged!

  20. He will haunt another club, prowling the technical area like a caged walrus, mouth full of wrigleys gum, taking off his skilful number 10 after seeing him disobey his percentage football tactics or must pass to the captain to make sure he scores theory. He will be asked in his press conferences who’s to blame and he’ll say the players, the owners, the groundsman, the catering department and say that the fans are all in denial and there has never been a style of play that he’s every seen at the club but he can guarantee survival don’t worry about style or substance that ain’t important.
So Sunderland,Hull,Fulham even Nigeria….be careful what you wish for because it can be a pretty grim reality..
But to all Irons Fans this grim reality is nearly over….. Time to smile again!!

  21. Holy wards GW! 😉

  22. To all fellow Irons fans from across differing countries, grab a beer, wait for the announcement and raise a toast to a new beginning, to West Ham and to the return of real football…To all you Sammertettes I admire your blind faith to your ” Messiah” but in 24 hours he’ll be gone, it’s time to forget him and move on and unite behind the new manager whoever it may be…..

  23. GW been having a beer every day since March just knew he was going,
But Tony are you sure ?
And canchaz I will be careful what I wish for,but honestly if it was what I wish for football would not come into it I would have sore ankles where my new bellend was rubbing,
Life to short lads he has gone move on with the rest of us

  24. Been doing the same Bubs with beer but mine was just numbing the pain… But I echo your point ,the divisiveness this man has created can now stop ,time to move on and support the club not the man….

  25. Managers come and go and have never thought any manager is bigger than the club,
Trouble is with Ferguson,Wenger and Mournio about they all did think that they came before there clubs,
And BFS in his delusional world thinks he is part of that group, must be because his trophy cabinet is as full as there’s.

  26. My contribution to the upcoming party.
East End pie, as in American

    Bye bye Sam Alladyce
Drove the Irons to 11th and didn’t give a ****e
Those poor old fans were wishing football tonight
Singing West Ham till I die….
    West Ham till I die…

For 4 years we’ve been on our own
Hoofing long balls to their zone
Carlton fell over on his own
Singing West Ham till I die….
    West Ham till I die……

Please quickly bring the new boss in
Get me off this bottle of gin
Let the Boleyn raise their din
Singing West Ham till I die…
West Ham till I die. …

There must be more but it’s not in in me loaf yet. Cheers

  27. Sams’ gotta go now as he didn’t fulfill his brief, we came 12th, bloody 12th f*** off Sam your a joke.
He failed on his brief in so many ways, ENTERTAINMENT – NIL ATTACKING ( Don’t know the meaning of the word, by playing Nolan, Cole etc , we had no chance )
    10th Place ( 12th )

So failed on all accounts, go apply for Real madrid and get laughed out of Europe you prat.
