West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is facing uncertainty over his availability for the upcoming match against Fulham. The Frenchman sustained an injury against Manchester City and is currently being assessed.
According to injury expert Ben Dinnery , he only has a 50 per cent chance of playing in our next Premier League game against Fulham.
Areola’s injury has unfortunately come not at the greatest of times, as the new defensive arrivals Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jean Clair-Todibo have yet to be fully integrated into the first-team squad and as a result have not realy had that much time to create an on pitch understanding with their team mates yet.
Veteran full back Aaron Cresswell is the only other player said to be ruled out of the trip to Craven Cottage this Saturday for Julen Lopetegui.
It should not be too much of concern though, as Lukasz Fabianski is a more than a capable understudy to Areola
I thought Areola was on the bench for France at the weekend?
According to last Fridays team sheet he was down as a substitute….
An injury update that doesn’t tell us what injury he has?
That is because he doesn’t know and probably doesn’t care I remember when ALVAREZ got his serious injury C.H. commented ” IT COULD BE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE “.
RESPECT. RESPECT. RESPECT.
He’s on the subs bench tonight…not a good article..
Areola is on the bench tonight V Belgium, yet he is 50/50 for Saturday?
