Alvarez absence wouldn’t be a disaster

David Moyes appears to have one big problem to solve for the Manchester City game – apart from winning that is!

Will he go for Edson Alvarez in midfield or recall Tomas Soucek who has been missing because of a concussion injury.

His Alvarez problem is well known of course in that the new signing may not have returned from his international break in time to train sufficiently for the match.

Moyes has pointed that out on several occasions and it may well be that the best we can expect is for Alvarez ro appear on the bench for the match with Soucek back in front of the back four.

In one respect however, that would be sad as the Czech who looked in extraordinary goal scoring form in training on the video shown here earlier today.

It wouldn’t be a disaster for Soucek to appear as he has looked much better over the games he has appeared in this season.
