Alvarez perfect example of new Hammers agenda

Edson Alvarez’s arrival at the London Stadium is the perfect example of how things should work at a top football club.
Much was made of the arrival of a new director of football at the club developed by the board.
The development caused serious discussion in the media over Moyes’ attitude towards being or maybe having to be responsible to him but that turned out not to be the case anyway.
The technical director’s job is to bring in the manager’s choice of players and he did a terrific job in persuading the Ajax defensive midfielder to join the Irons.
Moyes is clearly delighted it happened and has no spoken out at his delight at the start the player has made to life in East London.
Such has been the partnership developed between the manager and Steiedten that the future looks very bright when transfer window time comes around.
Commenting on Alvarez – who must have every chance of playing this evening – Moyes said: “He’s done incredibly well and started fast.
He’s a really good man to have around, he’s a good professional and settled in really well.
I still think, coming into the last 15 minutes of games, he’s found it physically demanding, but I have to say he’s doing really, really well.”
