And now for “something different” against Spurs

BilicThe Hammers are looking for a hat-trick of wins over Spurs on Saturday and Slaven Bilic knows something different will be required to achieve it.

Manu Lanzini all but ended Spurs title hopes with last season’s winner and the manager will be looking for something possibly out of the ordinary against  the north Londoners at the London Stadium.

Having beaten Maurice Pochettino’s team in successive seasons and having kept three clean sheets over three games, Biic appears to be fancying his chances.

He said: “We have to show character, we maybe don’t know how we will win this one but what I know we have to do is we have to be complete, just to do basic things. But just basic things isn’t going to get you three points but without them you have no chance.

“So we will do them and also, some extra things on the pitch to hurt them.”

  1. With Obiang apparently missing I expect Bilic will not have the, guts to keep captain slowball on the bench. He will go ahead and pick him even though everyone knows the man is beyond his sell by date. He has been a great servant of the club but his legs have gone. We will be overrun in midfield!
This is the Kevin Nolan scenario all over again and it is not the players fault. It is the managers!
