Reports in Italy suggest negotiations are continuing between Hammer Felipe Anderson representatives and Lazio.
Lazio wants to bring the player back. According to Sky Sport Italy’s Manuele Baiocchini a deal to return the 28-year-old to Rome is on the cards.
The Italian reporter states that new manager Maurizio Sarri does value Anderson, so there could be a role for him in a possible return to Lazio. As for the cost, Baiocchini adds that it could take €9-million (£7.7m) for West Ham to cut their losses with Anderson.
Anderson is currently on holiday in his native Brazil but is due to report for pre-season training at Rush Green at the end of next week.
The Hammers paid Lazio £34m in 2018 for the Brazilian playmaker under Manuel Pellegrini.
The Hammers had valued their player at £10m this summer but could take just under £8m to get Felipe’s £85,000 per week wages off the books.
With a potential £7.7m transfer fee and £4.4m of wage savings over the next twelve months, the combined deal could be worth £12m to the Hammers.
That sounds like the last instalment of his transfer from them.
Waive that payment and please take him back !
Don’t think you can include Diop in with the others.
Haller, Anderson, yarmalenko and diop a waste of 110 million by the great Pellegrini…
