Anderson names his top Hammer

|

I have no doubts in my mind as to whom I will be giving my own Hammer of the Year award – Lukasz Fabianski.

For me he is the best keeper I have seen at the club in years and at £7 million (plus a hefty agent’s fee) he has been a real snip at a time when top level keepers are in short supply.

I’m not even sure he wouldn’t qualify as the best keeper in the league this season such has been his level of performance.

He signed a three year deal which takes him up to the age of 36 when the club will need to make a judgement but for now he has proved him an outstanding stopper.

Should he pick up Hammer of the year he will be in a unique position of having been awarded Player of the season by fans at two separate clubs in successive season having been top man at Swansea last season.

In the meantime Felipe Anderson also reckons the same telling Soccer AM when asked who was the best player on the squad: I think that would be Fabianski, the goalkeeper.

He saved us in a lot of occasions this season, so I think right now he is one of the best. He’s good.”
