Anderson so pleased for Dec

Felipe Anderson’s contribution to the victory over Arsenal at the weekend was immense.

The Brazilian was outstanding on the run and some of his disguised clicks and feints were right out of the top Brazilian drawer.

Should he respond at this rate he will be bang in lime for an international call up but in the meantime, just as the manager declared when he signed him, he is a player to build around.

What’s so great about the situation is that there is clearly more to come and he is clearly one very happy bunny as the team continues to climb the league.

He is no mean part of that but in every interview – as is the case with his latest om www.whufc.com – it’s all about the team but on Saturday Declan Rice in particular.

Like the rest of us he could not be more impressed with the youngster who is becoming the best young player in the country very quickly indeed.

And Anderson said: “”I’m very happy for Declan because he’s a guy who is extremely unselfish, he plays more for his teammates than for himself, he’s always running, always fighting, and today he scored a beautiful goal that gave us a very important victory so I’m very happy for him and I hope it happens more often.

The team merited the victory on Saturday. We started very strong, and were very concentrated in the game.

“We created some chances, and it was very important to win because we were at home against a great rival, in front of our fans that always support us.

It was one of those games, that are important, that mean more and the result gives us the confidence to keep on growing in the league.

“To have so many fans was very important because we know how much they love us and that inspires us, because we feel it on the pitch and it is also an ingredient in our victories, they are always with us.”
