Felipe Anderson is close to agreeing a season-long loan with FC Porto.
News broke earlier in the day of possible interest from the Portuguese outfit and our own sources are claiming tonight that the deal is close to being done although nothing yet is in tablets of stone.
With the transfer window not closing in Portugal until Wednesday the Hammers are hurrying to complete a deal which would see the Brazilian join the currently third placed Primera Liga outfit.
We understand that the Portuguese are close to agreeing to paying a sizeable loan fee and are ready to meet the player’s £100,000 wages in full.
Anderson has been a massive disappointment this season and last but it now seems that he could be leaving the club and although the deal still hasn’t been completed it is expected that an option to make it permanent is likely to be included if progress continues to be made.
We understand too that there is much activity in the Jack Wilshere camp and that he too could be on his way before the window closes here and in Europe.
Please to both of them!
Unfortunately, Anderson has gone stale. We don’t have ambition to play that way any more.
So, onwards and upwards – move would give us room to play enthusiastic, instinctive and happy players.

Anderson needs a new start. Good luck to him, he will need to find his mojo again if there is any hope.
One of the laziest players I have seen.We can forgive a lack of form but when the effort is not there most fans will turn on these so called luxury players.
If Wilshere and Anderson both move on, we’ll be rid of the worst of the Pellegrini decisions, now that Sanchez and Roberto have long since left us. It’ll be a good day, even if we don’t bring anybody in. We can look to have another go in the Winter window, or bring in an EFL player or two before this window closes. If we can move Lanzini on too, it’ll be an even better day!
We seem to get lots of players like Anderson unused to the premier league who have lots of skill but are easily bullied / intimidated and all we can remember are the rare moments of skill but overall they don’t contribute enough – Diamante and Zarate come to mind – Lanzini in his prime was strong enough not to be shrugged off the ball – but his injury has put paid to that
Hopefully we get one or two late loans otherwise our bench will look a bit bare
Anderson very much reminded me of Berbatov, great feet but off the ball as lazy as it gets.
In today’s game that kind of attitude gets found out very quickly.
p.s. thanks for the site Hugh, much appreciated.
How has Anderson been a massive disappointment this season? He hasn’t played!
