Slaven Bilic has confirmed that Andy Carroll’s rehab is taking longer than planned
Speaking at this morning’s press conference the gaffer told reporters: “Andy Carroll picked up the injury in Romania and I didn’t notice he got injured. Originally we thought it would be four to six weeks. Now it is longer than that and it is slower than we expected. He is progressing but it is not the speed we wanted. He is working hard. He is improving and hopefully he will be back in a few weeks”
Yesterday West Ham’s head of medical, Stijn Vandenbroucke said: “Andy Carroll has been out since suffering a knee injury at Astra Giurgiu in August. The rehabilitation is taking longer than our initial prognosis. However, I would reiterate that he is making steady progress and continues his rehab.”
Carroll’s fiance Billi Mucklow hit out at recent coverage of his partner drinking in public by posting a photo of him on social media earlier this week saying “OMG Can’t Believe I’ve Just Seen Andy Carroll “Drinking”……………. A Beetroot Smoothie”

i have no problem with with any of the guys having a bit of fun from time to time also think this has been blown all out of proportion tbh but for the GF saying A Beetroot Smoothie yea ok larger will always look like larger. but hey so what he hasn’t done anything wrong at all the other day when all this blew up they were all on a lash up so what is he supposed to do ffs he trains hard as does all the guys lets just see what happens no news here ffs
